Students on the Office Management and Executive Assistantship Programme at the Tokat Vocational School of Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University organised a technical visit to Tokat Technopark on Friday, 16 October 2026, at 2.00 pm.

Organised with the aim of enhancing the students’ professional knowledge and skills, linking the knowledge they have acquired in theoretical lectures to practical applications, and enabling them to gain a close understanding of the technology-focused business world, the technical visit provided information on the activities of Tokat Technopark and the technology transfer initiatives within the university.

During the visit, Assistant Coordinators of the TOGÜ Technology Transfer Office (TTO) Coordination Unit, Lecturer Dr Fatih Yaşar and Lecturer Ali Erdi Candar, provided information to the students.

The briefing covered the areas of activity of the TOGÜ TTO, as well as the application processes for the TÜBİTAK 2209-A University Students’ Research Projects Support Programme and the TÜBİTAK 2209-B University Students’ Industry-Oriented Research Projects Support Programme, both of which provide support for students’ research and project development work. In addition, students were provided with information on preparing project proposal documents and the steps for registering on the ARBİS (Researcher Information System) and TYBS (TÜBİTAK Management Information System) platforms.

The programme also focused on entrepreneurial activities and the process of setting up a company, with the aim of raising students’ awareness of opportunities to turn their innovative ideas into projects, link their research work with support programmes, and bring their business ideas to life.

Thanks to the technical visit organised, students had the opportunity to gain knowledge on university-industry collaboration, research projects, entrepreneurship and technology transfer. The event not only supported students’ professional development but also contributed to raising their awareness regarding project preparation, conducting research and career planning.

As Tokat Vocational College, we would like to thank the TOGÜ Technology Transfer Office Co-ordination for their contribution to such events, which support our students’ professional and academic development and strengthen the culture of research and entrepreneurship, and we would also like to thank Lecturer Dr Fatih Yaşar and Lecturer Ali Erdi Candar for their informative presentations.
