Upon successful completion of this programme, students will be able to:

Assisting with external, internal and customer communications, establishing individual communication, establishing organisational communication, examining and evaluating individual behaviour, examining and evaluating organisational behaviour. Shaping the secretarial profession within the framework of societal values.

Analysing fundamental concepts related to office management, organising the office ergonomically, creating a work plan, managing crises and stress, analysing fundamental concepts related to the secretarial profession, examining the characteristics of a secretary, analysing fundamental concepts related to executive assistance, examining the characteristics of an executive assistant, evaluating the skills of an executive assistant.

Setting the meeting agenda, preparing accordingly and attending the meeting, taking minutes of the meeting, organising interdepartmental meetings.

To be able to manage information, to carry out procedures related to printed/online professional publications, to provide information about the business, to gather information about environmental changes by conducting an external environment analysis.

Opening documents on a computer and performing basic operations, practising keyboard shortcuts, using the Turkish Keyboard (F Keyboard) method, doing writing exercises and speed drills, writing in different languages, writing using different computer software, preparing content, preparing official documents quickly and efficiently, preparing business and personal documents quickly and efficiently, sending and receiving correspondence.

Monitoring internal and external document flow, filing and tracking files, implementing the standard filing plan, monitoring the document exchange process, archiving and tracking archives.

Developing image and strategy in public relations, maintaining a positive and consistent perception of the image of the organisation and the individual, examining ethical and moral concepts and adhering to ethical principles, applying protocol rules, managing personal image, speaking effectively and eloquently, using breathing techniques and speech organs, and making speeches appropriate to the environment and the audience.

Examining the fundamental concepts and system of law, along with the definition and types of rights. Understanding and examining the systems of personal, family, property, and debt law, contracts, and litigation processes; determining employer-employee relationships; and preparing social security documents.

Creating text files on a computer, creating presentations, creating tables, files and documents by performing mathematical and logical operations, creating databases, performing web operations.

To recognise the fundamental organs specified in the Constitution of the Republic of Turkey and examine their relationships; to recognise public economic enterprises, central administration and regional administration and examine their relationships; to recognise autonomous, independent and partially public administration institutions and examine their relationships; to recognise political parties, trade unions, representative bodies, foundations, associations and service institutions and examine their relationships.

The concept of economics, analysing opportunity costs and economic activities, monitoring economic objectives, demand, supply and market equilibrium, analysing national income, money, inflation, employment and unemployment, examining foreign trade, implementing economic applications in a sample institution.
